“…and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

– Matthew 16:18

The church, or “the called out ones”, is composed of only those people who have accepted the free gift of salvation offered by God the Father through the sacrificial death of His Only Begotten Son. The church is called the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:23; Colossians 1:18), the bride of Christ (implied in Ephesians 5:25; stated in Revelation 22:17), and the individual members of the church are described as the New Tabernacles in which God the Holy Spirit has chosen to dwell (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2 Corinthians 6:16). There is only one true church which is comprised of numerous earthly meeting places, and knows nothing of denominations. The denominational distinctions, though at times they were needed, are still artificial divisions which can only be determined to be manmade. We do, however, maintain the understanding that not every group that calls itself a church, is really a church of our great God and Savior.
